Editor's Note
We are very happy to publish Carletes, a zine by Michael Swaney and Antonio Ladrillo. Michael and Antonio are very good friends of ours and when they asked me if I was interested in publishing the zine with trineo, I quickly agreed.
We really like their style. This project is very special for us and also was for them because it tells the story of their trip to Mallorca this summer for holidays. They completed all of the artwork there and also took photos to document their travels.
When Michael told me the story, I understood this zine as more than just simple drawings on paper, and we were in the mood to do something different this time.
We took our time to do a special edition; photocopied, folded and stapled by us. We also hand-cut the cellophane cover and numbered them on the back inside cover with a mirror effect.
The resulting zine is spontaneous, beautiful, and hand-crafted.
